Things parents often ask us
What age range do you work with?
We work with children from about 18 months up to 16 years old, depending on the service. Some services, like speech therapy, can start earlier, while academic bridging is typically for school-age children.
How long does an assessment take?
Most assessments take between two and three hours. We'll observe your child, carry out structured evaluations, and talk with you in detail. You'll receive a full written report with our findings and recommendations.
Do I need a referral to come to you?
No. You don't need a doctor's referral. You can contact us directly by phone or email, and we'll arrange an initial consultation to talk through your concerns.
What should I bring to the first visit?
Bring any previous reports or assessments your child has had, their school reports if available, and a list of your main concerns. The more information we have, the better we can help.
How often will my child need to come?
It depends on what your child needs. Some children come two or three times a week, others come daily. We'll discuss the right frequency after the assessment and build a schedule that works for your family.
Can you work with my child's school?
Yes, absolutely. We regularly liaise with schools to share strategies, support IEP implementation, and ensure consistency between what happens at our centre and what happens in the classroom.
